This cedar home was once a school teacher's house in Hilo.  It was dismantled and reassembled at the beach in the 1930s.  The idyllic setting of our beach homes have attracted many weddings.  The romantic Seaside Zen Cottage is also referred to by some as the Seaside Honeymoon Cottage.  Guests return for anniversaries, family vacations or just to hang out with the honu, the green sea turtles that live in the lagoon in front of the Cottage.

No owl hoots, no mudhen cries, no 'ulili runs on the beach.
